Net Bag Replacement and Repair

Whilst we guarantee the landing net for life we do not guarantee the net bag as it is subject to wear-and-tear.

During the design and development of the Fastnet Innovative Landing Net the eventuality of net bag replacement was carefully considered. In keeping with the innovative features of the diamond aluminium alloy rim and nylon glass toughened resin moulded knuckle the chosen method of assembly and disassembly posed the design advantage of significantly reducing the likelihood of net bag snagging.

Terostat 9220 Power Adhesive was chosen for its strength and ability to soften when steam is applied directly to the area of which it is applied so that the net rim can be pulled free from the moulded knuckle using reasonable pull strength.

Instructions

Hold the knuckle over steam for five minutes to soften the rubber adhesive.

Then, using heat protected gloves, hold the shaft in one hand and pull the rim out of the moulded knuckle.

Remove the net bag and clean all residue adhesive off the rim using scotch brite.

Attach the new net bag and insert a small quantity of rubber adhesive into the moulded knuckle - we recommend Terostat 9220 Power Adhesive and cannot guarantee any other product.

Insert the rim into the moulded knuckle and remove any excess rubber adhesive with a soft cloth. Refer to the setting instructions.

Gye net bag replacement requires the removal of the ring from the top rim position and replacement.
